That is something i have always wanted to do. But I don’t want to do it the easy way I want to do all the hard coding and that. You see when I was younger I was into programming and i made websites and everything! so you now see why I want to do it the hard way.

So would you ever want to make a phone app? if so leave a comment and i will post how to.

Street Dance is great!

Posted: November 20, 2012 in A slice of me

I have been doing street dance for about 2 years. I was one of the only boys. In fact there was only two of us. I am now doing street dance with my friend Lewis and we both enjoy it.  Lewis had been my friend since primary school.

He has been on of my greatest friends and to find out that he was doing street dance with me was great. In fact he is with me as I write! So lets see what he has to say about me!

George is a great friend and I have known him since primary school.

So there you go all about street dance. I know this was a short post but we didn’t have much time. So what do you think?

My Oak tree

I have an Oak tree in my house. Now this Oak tree was planted way before i moved in. It must be about 50 to 100 years old. Now when i saw this Oak tree i thought hey this is a waste of space. So I decided I wanted it cut down. I called up someone and they cam round three days later. They said where is the tree? i said just there. They turned around and said we can’t cut that down. I said why? They told me that it was an Oak tree and i said that i knew that. So they told me that i will have to get the go ahead from the council to get it cut down.

So later that day  did some research and found out what had happened to the Oak trees many years ago. Now they are protected. So I thought to my self, Hey I have an Oak tree! They are protected and I have one! I was amazed by the fact that there was an Oak tree in my back garden.

But as I did more research i found out that the oldest tree in the UK was cut down in the middle of the night. I was so annoyed and this tree was history. I wanted to see it but now I can’t it is gone.

But anyway this Oak tree has been great except for when autumn comes! It is a night mare. All the leaves over my back yard it takes ages to clear them all up.

Every year this Oak tree would produce many Acorns. I would just sit and watch the squirrels climb up and down the tree collecting the Acorns. I would watch birds make nests.

But This year no Acorns came out! Not a single one. I am still confused to this day as this has never happened before. I waited and waited for the Acorns to com out. But nothing. No squirrels no nests nothing. I have done my research on why this may of happened but all I can think of is that it has been too cold.

To any one with an Oak tree has this happened to you?

Now you are probably wondering what is forest school? Well it is when you go outside and do a lesson entirely outside. Rain or no rain, snow or no snow we still got to go out side. Now back in the day were i was doing my forest school we did so many great things! we would do this once a week every week.

Everyone in my class had so much fun. We did things like making dens and making dream catchers. Sometimes we even got to do what we wanted. When we would make dens we would make tribes to go with the dens. We would make our bow and arrows (with out the arrows) and pretend to have a war. It would always be so much fun.

On the days that it would rain very heavily we would make dens. Sometimes we would be told to bring in a snack and we would have a stash or treats. We would share round the treats and have a great feast.

I remember one time I brought in some spicy crisps. I gave one to my friend telling him they were spicy. He put it in his mouth and said “this isn’t spicy” as soon as he had said that he screamed for water. We laughed and I said want another one?

Forest school was one of the best lessons ever as we wouldn’t be set a certain piece of work we could do some of what we want and do a bit of work in between playing. We wouldn’t have to sit down and write out answers we would be told that we were going to make a den or make a dream catcher and we would go off and do it whilst playing and having fun.

When we would make things like dream catchers we would have to use the things that we would find off the ground and not rip leaves off trees or take a branch of a tree. We would just use what we could find. This was probably the best lesson ever.

What else was good about this was we didn’t have to do homework for this subject. We would just be able to have fun outside. Also sometimes we would go off adventuring. We would take a walk across several different fields for about an hour. This was all great fun too!

Now the bad side to this is we never got to do this in secondary school. I don’t understand why we couldn’t do it as there were lots of wooded ares were my school was. I still don’t understand to this day why we couldn’t do what we used to do. To me secondary school was all work and no play.

Play is more important than you think. Studies show that if children have no time to play, there working level goes down. So does their grades which can be really bad if you are just about to take your test. This is why all schools give you time to have a break and just take your mind off work.

Forest school was such a special day for me but in secondary school that day was gone. I see that even to this day they still don’t do forest school in secondary school.

Did you ever do forest school? what is your story?

Me and my Tourettes

Hello everyone! Today i am going to tell you about my Tourettes. Now first thing you are probably wondering what it is! Well Tourettes is when you make involuntary movements and actions. It can also be were you say something or swear when you don’t want to. So there is a brief description on Tourettes.

My Tourettes makes me do all kinds of things. I swear I punch out i shout random words. Lots of things! Now about the swearing, not all people with Tourettes swear. Only 10% actually. I was diagnosed with Tourettes about 2 years ago. My tics (tics are the things you do when having Tourettes) started coming out way before that.

People with Tourettes don’t all show their tics. Some people can cover it up really well. So for all you know someone you know has Tourettes and you just don’t know about it.

So there you are i have told you about my Tourettes and what it is. I hope you enjoyed it!

I am not all just blogging. I do many other things in life. I am actually a Ballet dancer. Now I bet you would of never thought that. I have been doing ballet for 8 years. I love doing it. It is a great hobby of mine and would love to do more of it. I have performed in two shows as several parts. I would love to perform in many more. i will be taking a grade soon. I am feeling very nervous about this as i have not done one in a long time and have not had much time to practice.  I have been working extra hard everyday to get good marks.

Enough about that! I also play the trumpet. I am grade 3 and will hope fully be doing grade 5 soon. I have not had any lessons for a very long time. I haven’t taken a grade in ages too. I love practicing my trumpet and can do it many hours a day. I was actually practicing today for quite a while. I went over my scales and did some site reading.

I also do the odd jobs. I have started to run a business. It is a very small one only for the weekends. I do car washing. I have been taught how to do this very well. Here are my prices. Outside £4, inside and out £7 + polishing £8. I would love to here some feed back on weather you would pay those prices or not.

What hobbies do you have?
